About the work
In this work the crack is not a sign of destruction but a space of memory. Delicate shades of pink recall cherry blossom — a symbol of beauty, transience and the inevitable passing of time. The relief surface keeps the traces of what has been lived through, like an old wall marked by the years.
The fractures running across the textured field read as seams joining fragments of lost recollections.
The work addresses the theme of fading memory, where every trace bears witness to time lived and every seam is an attempt to keep what is vanishing — like cherry petals carried off by the spring wind.
