Cultural memory preserved in ornament.
Canvas · acrylic · relief · collage · ornament

This project is about how we look at the world and what we fail to notice as we do. We are used to seeing the surface: patterns, rhythms, familiar shapes. They help us orient ourselves, yet at the same time they hide what lies deeper.
In these works ornament becomes a kind of mask. Beneath it a form is hidden: fragile, mobile, elusive. Sometimes it shows through, sometimes it almost disappears. It resembles memory: it layers, distorts, conceals — and still keeps its connection to the past.
The canvas is subjected to physical intervention — cut, shifted and reassembled. The works combine painting, relief, collage and decorative elements, forming a complex, layered surface intended for attentive, almost tactile perception.
The project invites the viewer to slow down and move from superficial seeing to concentrated observation, revealing hidden layers of form and meaning.
