About the work

The work draws on the tradition of Persian ornament, in which a plant motif unfolds as a continuous, harmonious system. Symmetry and rhythm create a sense of stability and of cultural memory fixed in repetition.

Yet the surface is disrupted: cut, shifted and reassembled into a layered structure. The ornament loses its continuity; lines break and meet again, turning into a map of intervention.

Decorative order no longer guarantees wholeness — it becomes vulnerable. The work captures the moment when tradition meets rupture, and it is in this tension that a new form of memory arises — not whole, but assembled from fragments.
